Movie Review: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1

The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of Commander Coin and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta and a nation moved by her courage.

This movie will surely enjoy by all of the Hunger Games fanatics out there as the film meets the expectation of the adaptation of the book and provided polished execution from the book. Excitement and cliff hanger overload all throughout the film. There's dramatic tension, a good deal of emotion, and one heck of a setup for the next movie. I like the editing. I love the theme song sung by Katniss the “Hanging Tree”. I also believed that they should squeeze the whole Mocking Jay book in one film. Mocingjay Part 1 is well done but I like the first 2 films better. Nevertheless Mocking Jay Part 1 is a fine entertainment film that you can enjoy to watch!

My Verdict:  4/5
