Movie Review: Seven Sundays

Seven Sundays”tells the story of the four Bonifacio siblings Allan (Aga Muhlach), Brian (Dingdong Dantes), Cha (Cristine Reyes), and Dex (Enrique Gil), who are forced to return to their childhood home when their Tatay Manuel (Ronaldo Valdez) is diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.

The main question is, as they confront their history, will they be able to reconnect and find redemption in each other?

Seven Sundays is a heartwarming present day family story. It makes you realize how important family is. What ever your differences is you’ll only got each other’s back.  Each of the cast has given a highlight and embrace their characters so well. Ronaldo Valdez is entertaining, great comeback movie for Aga that fits to his role, and outstanding performance from Dingdong. Truly an ensemble film together with Christine and Enrique. The narrative of the story is easy to follow that blends well with the editing of the film. There is a lot of scenes that you can definitely relate and pinch your heart and scenes that will make you laugh out loud. Seven Sundays is truly a celebration for family to watch, cry and laugh together. A must watch film to bond with your family.

My Verdict: 4/5
