KimPau’s movie gets PG rating; MTRCB ensures age-appropriate ratings for upcoming films

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has given the first film project as a love team of Filipino actors Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, “My Love Will Make You Disappear,” a PG (Parental Guidance) rating.

The romantic-comedy film from Star Cinema, revolves around a woman with a history of disappearing boyfriends who finds love with her landlord, who is fighting to save his community from being displaced.

The film concert, “Imagine Dragons: Live From Hollywood Bowl (With The La Film Orchestra)” and the biographic drama “The Unbreakable Boy,” are also rated PG.

MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto-Antonio advised that under a PG rating, "parents should be aware of dialogues containing double-edged words as this could be repeated by children who may not understand the suggestive implications.”

Meanwhile, because of its dark theme of alien attack and frightening scenes, the American-Thai supernatural, “Home Sweet Home: Rebirth,” is rated R-13, suited for viewers 13 years old and above.

The horror-thriller, “Shadow of God,” is rated R-16, intended for audiences aged 16 and above only, due to scenes, violence, language and demonic possession, that may not be suitable for children below 16 years of age.

The Board guarantees the audiences that all upcoming films this week have received age-appropriate ratings suitable for the intended age group.
