Divine Diva Zsazsa Padilla showed to the entertainment press the engagement ring she was wearing during the presscon of her movie “Bes and The Beshies’’.
To this, many anticipated that she will be getting hitched soon.
But Zsazsa clarified that there are no concrete plans yet to marry her architect boyfriend Conrad Onglao.
“Hindi ko alam. Hindi pa sure kasi hindi pa namin pinagplaplanuhan.
We still have to sit down and talk about it,” she said.
If ever that day happens, she wants to keep her wedding as simple as possible.
“Gusto ko sobrang simple lang. Kung meron mang party after, mga family ko lang. Kasi, iyong mga kids, sila lang ang nandito. Buong pamilya ko, nasa Las Vegas,” she pointed out. “Sa edad kasi namin, we’re leaning towards retirement at naiisip na ipunin na lang ang pera o ilagay sa negosyo,”she added.
The singer-actress is one of those who believed in the saying “Love is lovelier, the second time around.”
It could be remembered that the couple broke up in May, 2016 but eventually reconciled six months later.
According to Zsazsa, there were things that she realized after getting back together after their breakup.
“Siyempre, mas nagbibigayan na kami. Mas nagkakaintindihan na pero ganoon naman talaga kapag meron kang karelasyon na hindi mo maa-avoid na magkaroon kayo ng mga arguments o mga differences,” she explained.
She also said that healing was very vital in her recovery after breakup.
“Of course, I have to learn that I am with another person. Because in the past, that was my mistake kasi. Sa age difference kasi namin ni Dolphy, lagi akong nananalo.
Kasi mula pagkabata ko at mula nang mamatay si Dolphy, I went through a healing process.May mga ‘hurts’ na naglabasan. At na-realize ko na kaya pala gusto ko ng older men rin dahil siya ang naging standard ko because he is my protector kaya noong mamatay siya nagkaroon ng mga issues na nag-resurface,” she quipped.
Being responsible and fatherly are some of Conrad’s character traits that she likes.
“The reason I got back to him and gave him a chance was that he has a very good trait, na mapagmahal siya at very affectionate and he’s very big when it comes to his family,” she said.
Zsazsa is ecstatic to be reunited with multi-award winning director Joel Lamangan in “Bes and The Beshies” whom she has worked with in Mano Po: A Mother’s Love, Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah: Ze Moveeh and Mano Po 4: Ako Legal Wife.
In the laugh-out comedy, she plays the role of Mabel, a martyr housewife.
In portraying her role, she admitted that she encountered some difficulty since her character required her to speak in fluent Visayan dialect.
“Siyempre iyong accent kailangang kabisaduhin mo. But more than anything else, mas nahihirapan ako sa mga eksenang mahahaba ang mga dialogue. Sa comedy naman, hindi ko iniisip na nagpapatawa ako para lumabas na natural at iyon din ang advice sa akin ni Direk,” she declared.
She also added that her movie persona is a very far from her since she does not consider herself a martyr wife.
She also said that original ASAP co-hosts Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano are her best friends in showbiz.
The amiable comedy “Bes and the Beshies” also stars Ai Ai de las Alas, Carmi Martin and Beauty Gonzales.
Also in the supporting cast are Emilio Garcia, Sancho Vito delas Alas, Alan Paule, Nikko Natividad, Jon Lucas, Wilbert Ross, Mark Joseph Tam and Heaven Peralejo.
The movie unreels in cinemas nationwide on October 18.
