Movie Review: Sitio

A family from the city returns to the province in search of a simpler life, they find more problems and setbacks instead.

And yes it happened. Free style ang nangyari sa pelikula, unexpected twist ,mga bagay na hindi makakatotohanan though the essence of the story is still there. Establish din naman yung mga character nina John Anja and Ria then pagdating doon sa apat na taga Sitio medyo weird yung character at mapapaisip ka talaga on why they acted that way.

Actors are good especially for the 4 villain Jess, RK, Biboy and Arnold. They are effective in their role. Jonh Ria and Anja are good as well though medyo awkward lang yung voice ni Ria.

This is different from the past work of direk Mes na slow pacing, typical folk story, dito mas naging kakaiba yung atake niya at mas naglaro nga siya. A bit disappointed sa film because I did not expect na ganun yung mangyayari on how the premise will resolve. But I think its intentional kung bakit ganito yung approach kasi ikaw mismo mapapisip so talagang this is a psychological drama and they are successful in their intention to make the audience think while watching. So a good catch na rin  if you’re looking for an alternative film.

My Verdict:  2.5/5

Anja Aguilar and Ria Garcia @ premiere of Sitio

John Prats @  premiere of Sitio

Jess Mendoza, Biboy Ramirez and Arnold Reyes @ premiere of Sitio
