Movie Review: Puti

The film follows the story of a counterfeit painter who figures in a freak car accident that rendered him color blind. While recuperating, he starts seeing strange images.

I like the film. Malinis ang pagkakagawa. From the script, DOP, editing, at kung paano diniliver yung story. Simple lang yung story line nung film about near death experience I believe,  but they been able to give a good treatment and delivers the message to the audience. DOP is very good, mukhang pinag-isipan ang bawat shot. The movie has many silent moment yet each scene is relevant in the movie. What I like more about the film is on how the final premise is delivered that twists towards the end of the film was wow that its very timely and executed well.

For the acting performance , Ian Veneracion justifies his role. For Jasmine Curtis, I appreciate her nuances and silent moment in the film, ibang klase din ang atake na ginawa niya rito for her character. Jasmine Curtis is truly the breakthrough actress of the year, given with the right project and exposure she will be the next best actress of her generation. Lauren Young is good as well.

A one of a kind film. A different taste of horror. A higly commendable phsychological thriller local film that we dont usually have, so don't miss it.

My Verdict:  4/5

Jasmin Curtis @ Gala Night of Puti

Lauren Young @ Gala Night of Puti

Ian Veneracion @ Gala Night of Puti

Elmo Magalona @ Gala Night of Puti

Sam Concepcion @ Gala Night of Puti
