Movie Review: The Guerrilla is a Poet

A biopic of a young Jose Ma. Sison, it weaves an intricate tale of an activist’s journey during the turbulent years of Martial Law, until his capture in the mountains and the dark, nine years of imprisonment that followed, leading to his birth as a poet.

The film is a good material for student on their history class to tackle the other side of our history in 1970’s  na hindi masyadong naikukwento sa atin. Angeli Bayani is good as well along with the other supporting casts. A good film to watch to for us to learn our own history.

My Verdict:  3/5
