My Take on The Voice of the Philipines

Movie Review: Mga Alalala ng Tag-Ulan

A coming-of-age love story about a young man’s first encounter with love, romance, and heartbreak, told in bits and pieces of poetic and melancholic memories that begin one rainy night.

Movie Review: Momzillas

Two moms are drawn into direct conflict when their children announce their intentions to get married. The mothers have to put aside their differences, however, when they are both marooned on a distant island.

Movie Review: Ang Kwento Ni Mabuti

The story of a healer named Mabuti who, despite her poverty, still looks at life positively. Everything changes, however, when she finds a bag containing a huge stash of money.

Movie Review: The Guerrilla is a Poet

A biopic of a young Jose Ma. Sison, it weaves an intricate tale of an activist’s journey during the turbulent years of Martial Law, until his capture in the mountains and the dark, nine years of imprisonment that followed, leading to his birth as a poet.

Movie Review: The Muses

A story of sibling rivalry in the music business where two sisters find the hidden truths about fame, family and their own selves. Set against the backdrop of an intense talent show in Cebu City.

Movie Review: Ang Turkey Man ay Pabo Rin

A cross-cultural comedy about a Filipino-American couple who celebrates life with karaoke music, superstitious in-laws, immigration laws, unexpected pregnancies, brown-outs, Thanksgiving turkey, with some love on the side.

Movie Review: Bingoleras

A comedy about six single women, whose lives intersect when a bingo marathon is launched in their church for the barangay fiesta, turning expectations and relationships upside down and inside out.

Movie Review: Puti

The film follows the story of a counterfeit painter who figures in a freak car accident that rendered him color blind. While recuperating, he starts seeing strange images.

"If you are gay, this is your story. If you are a lover, this is your story." Tinik promises an impartial study of homosexuality through the story of a middle-aged gay couturier and his attempts to hold on to his dignity amidst the dilemmas of his being a gay.

Movie Review: Bamboo Flowers

Bamboo Flowers talks about the lives of the young and the old Boholanos who have adapted to the changing behaviors of their lifestyles because of the dawning or tourism, technology and the demands of new age.

Movie Review: Bahay ng Lagim

Taking place in a convent, we follow the story of Sister Sofia whose life takes a grave turn upon the arrival of, the troubled and haunted, Fatima. The documentary, The Gospel According to the Kid, will also be shown, which brings us into the life of Celso Ad. Castillo himself and his works.

Movie Review: Badil

Nonoy is assigned to take over the role of monitoring and guarding a number of people who are in their list of voters committed to support their party candidates. Badil is a window into how flawed our basic political right has become.

Movie Review: Ano ang Kulay ng mga Nakalimutang Pangarap

Movie Review: Lihis

Set in the 70s, two young male NPA warriors find themselves entangled in a web of frustrations, despair, and victory as they struggle to fight for their love in the middle of war against despotism and dictatorship. Lihis is a story of a fight for freedom and against victory.

Movie Review: Lauriana
