Just The Way You Are - Taking A Bet On Love

Hot off the heels of the conclusion of the hit television series "Foreveremore,"

Star Cinema has given Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano their launching solo film as loveteam.

Directed by Theodore Boborol, the film is titled "Just the Way You Are." Set to the tune of the Bruno Mars hit of the same title, the trailer introduces Gil as "the ultimate player" and Soberano's character as the girl that will "change" him.

The movie is based on a Wattpad book entitled "The Bet." In the book, Drake (Gil) gets into a betting game with his best friend, which involves courting the unsuspecting Sophia (Soberano). When Sophia finally falls for him, Drake tells her that everything was just a game.

 Synopsis of The Film

Drake Sison (Enrique Gil) is a boy who loves to win – so when he loses in a bet with friends, he’s determined to make up for it – through another one. He needs to make a girl fall in love with him in 30 days. But she’s not just any other girl, she’s Sophia Taylor (Liza Soberano), a nerdy transferee who isn’t into playing games. In the end, whose heart will be played? Who will win in this game of love? “Just The Way You Are” is the movie adaptation of Kimberly Joy Villanueva’s pop fiction book “The Bet.”

According to the writer Kimberly Villanueva and creative manager Carmi Raymundo, what makes this film different to other films that has story about betting is its core value about family and the two main characters attachment to their family in which the film is not only focus to their love story.
