Movie Review: Metamorphosis

Born with both male and female genitals, but raised like a boy by his conservative family, Adam goes through all the things prepubescent boys go through, including a fascination with strange animals he takes for pets and being smitten by a lovely girl. His bucolic world turns upside down when he gets his first menstrual period setting him off on a journey that tests the spiritual and physical limits of sexual identity and into a new world of ambiguity and desire.

Metamorphosis is an eye-opening, thought-provoking and emotional movie about intersex acceptance that deserved to be watched. well made coming of age that bares everything to effectively tell a rare story of acceptance. A slow burn film with sincere performance by Gold Azeron that effectively capture the required emotions of the complex of his character. The symbolism and inner message are on point that let the audience interpret about it. I love the message of the film that being different is okay and the more we embrace changes, the more we know who we really are.

My Verdict:  4.5/5
