Movie Review: The Annulment

The movie follows the love story of Sherwin (Bascon) and Gari (Poe), a couple who's marriage is on the brink of falling apart. Gari wants her happiness back by getting an annulment, while Sherwin will try his best to win her back.

It’s nice to see Lovi Poe once again returning to her core as an actress in a sexy drama film. The good thing about this film is that it avoids all the element of the usual campy mistress film and tends to be as realistic and truthful as much as possible. Joem Bascon suits to his role as a not so rich guy who fall in love with a well off woman. Both of them have their moments showing their acting prowess and its a good thing that they have their own trademark in acting that you know that its only them that who can do. I also like the refeshing supporting cast of the film that we rarely seen and not usually casted in mainstream Filipino film. Their chemistry ate good from Nikka Valencia, JC Tiuseco, Erika Padilla, Manuel Chua up to Laurah Lehmann. So if you are a fan of Lovi Poe, don’t miss this emotional and sexiest movie event of the year, The Annulment.

My Verdict: 3.5/5
