Movie Review: Silly Red Shoes

Two long-time friends  navigate romance in KyCine’s “Silly Red Shoes,” which revolves around sweet and shy Chuck (Kyle) and simple and good-hearted Ashley (Francine). Planning to revive his family’s worn out shoe business, Chuck asks for the help of Ashley to model a new pair of shoes for a contest. Insecure of her “alien feet,” which change sizes every day, Ashley finds a reliable and determined shoemaker in Chuck.

As the two grow closer, they discover a secret behind a mysterious pair of red shoes that seem to be too perfect for Ashley.

Silly Red Shoes is glossy, charming and romantic. A new love team (KyCine) on the rise is born with this ever kilig iWant Original Film - Silly Red Shoes. The obvious chemistry of Kyle Echarri and Francine Diaz is undeniable and glowing on this well made teen romantic feel good film. It is so refreshing to watch them together and really does have a potential to be the next big star of their generation. KyCine for me is the biggest discovery of the year! The cinematography of the film is a lit and of high standard, utilizing the beauty and glam of the visually attractive province of Liliw, Laguna. The well written modern fairy tail story is made into life decently with its fast paced narrative, engaging screenplay and impressive execution. Silly Red Shoes is definitely a good and a cute film that could watch over and over forever. It had all the emotions in it. LOVE IT. The best teen romance film of the year!

My Verdict: 4/5
