Unluckily for him, someone records the incident and posts the video on social media. In just five days, this ordinary boy’s life is suddenly overturned.

John Denver Trending is relevant and timely. This one definitely succeeds on doing social commentary that will truly leaves an impact after watching. Its effective use of social media on telling a story was fully utilize. The rawness of acting of the first time actor Jansen Magpusao is a gem. Meryll Soriano on the other hand gives  a genuine emotion to her character with restrained performance that also worth an acting nod. The well sustained effective pacing with powerful emotional component will surely keep you interested on the film. The film is a great way of letting us look inside the life of someone who's going trough a bad time. It goes to show that things aren't always what they seem on the surface.
