Movie Review: Kaleidoscope World

The underlying concept of Kaleidoscope World is to pay homage to the music titles of Francis Magalona that deal with love, societal issues and Pinoy pride. The film is a straightforward love story between a poor boy and rich girl who both have a love of hip hop dance. Hip hop dance genre is its musical foundation and the other pillars of hip hop which is rap, graffiti art and DJ mixing were showcased.

A love story hip hop dance film inspired by the music of Francis M. One thing I like about the film is the musicality of the film. It's nice to hear again the songs of Francis M. The choreography in the film is commendable at mahuhusay ang lahat ng mga artista na kasali na sumasayaw like Sef and Yasi na talagang mahusay sumayaw at umarte.

There are minor flaws in technicalities of the film like in audio, dubbing and sound. There are inconsistencies in this aspect. The screenplay and flow of the film is not that clear and precise as well on what to deliver to the audience.

If you have still chance to watch this just enjoy the dance production number and song of Francis M. in the film. An alternative film to watch this MMFF.

My Verdict: 2.5/5
