Based from the trailers, promotion and reception of the audience for of all MMFF entries here's my take:

My Top 3

Alam mong mag eenjoy ka talaga sa loob ng sinehan when you wacth this. Based din sa reception ng audience when the trailer shown in screening of Call Center Girl ay maganda ang feedback at tawa sila ng tawa. So for sure lock in na ito for top grosser of MMFF 2013. So this film I think would be a good catch to watch this Christmas

The only horror entry this year featuring the country's hottest love team Kathniel. These factor alone would say na malakas din ang magiging hatak nito sa tao for this year's MMFF. Then mukhang ok din yung tinackle nila na story about Pagpag na wala pang nakakagawa ng film about sa pamahiin na iyon. So sakop ng movie na ito ang mga teens and yung mga mahihilig sa horror. Based naman sa trailer mukha naman ok yung pagkakagawa not that Chito Rono or Topel Lee level pero pasado for a horror film. Parang The Healing or Cinco yung quality and treatment ng horror of this film. Its very refreshing then to see new batch of teen stars on this film aside from Kathniel. And the special participation of Paulo Avelino as well.

Good pick for the producer to choose Direk Chito Roňo to make this. This would be his first action film. And based sa teasers ng film, I like the shot ng mga scenes at gumamit ng kakaibang style and execution ang film na ito for an action genre. Good choice din for KC Concepcion to be the leading lady na first time din na gagawa ng action film at film na out of his comfort zone. So this is another film to watch out this MMFF.

The other remaining entries

The final franchise of the hit comedy flick Kimmy Dora. Reason to watch this is to know the reason behind the story of Kimmy Dora 1 and 2 and of course Sam Milby as leading men to Eugene Domingo. Maganda yung first teaser ng film. But a bit disappointed dun sa trailer. Parang ang corny ng mga punchline. I am bit surprise cause I know the works of Chris Martinez but this is just from the trailer so I hope the whole film would be better. So for those who enjoy the part 1 and 2 of Kimmy Dora surely you will catch this film as well and you know naman how Uge is so witty and great as an actress.

One of the two indie films that got in to this mainstream film festival. The film has a good story to tell about the life of our very own second saint in the Philippines. This is a good catch to watch to for every Filipinp especially for the youth. In fairness sa pelikulang ito, ito ang pinaka maagang nagkaroon ng promo materials sa SM at talagang pinopromote ng husto ang pelikula since they have limited budget to shown trailer on TV.

Second Indie Film to be part of MMFF. This one got lucky as the film is a replacement for Bong Revila Entry. The film has a good material. A hip hop dance romantic film. As I said earlier on my blog na parang Step Up ang peg ng film na ito as local version of the hollywood dance flick. The songs in film are inspired as well by the music of Francis M. I personally like the songs in the film. This is an alternative film to catch to in MMFF. i just hope lang na sana mapromote pa iyong film kasi kulang sila sa promotion.

But I am not that impressed with the trailer of the film.

The cutest entry for this year's MMFF led by the child wonder Ryza Mae and laucnhing film of Bimby. This film really fit for kids.

Please Watch and Support all of the Entries in Metro Manila Film Festival 2013
