Fifteen years after their last encounter, Stella and Fidel return—not just as characters in a sequel, but as enduring symbols of unfinished love stories, life’s what-ifs, and the pain and growth that come with second chances.
Set to release exclusively in cinemas on September 10, 2025, 100 Awit Para Kay Stella reunites the iconic tandem of Bela Padilla and JC Santos under the direction of Jason Paul Laxamana, with rising star Kyle Echarri joining the cast. But beyond the hype of a long-awaited sequel lies something deeper: a film that explores time, love, fidelity, and healing in ways that go far beyond the typical romantic formula.
At the media conference of 100 Awit Para Kay Stella, the cast reflected on how the sequel stands apart. One of the most striking moments came when Bela and JC referenced a “relapse expected in 15 years”—a raw, metaphorical line that sets the tone for a story rooted in the complications of adulthood. It's no longer about youthful longing or impulsive heartbreak, but about the enduring emotional imprints that never quite go away.
The cast shared how the film welcomes time—not as an enemy, but as a quiet force that shapes who we are. It’s a film about mature misunderstandings, not teenage miscommunication. About the deep kind of love that doesn't fade, but festers or blooms depending on how we tend to it.
Watch below as Bela Padilla and JC Santos share their fond moments and take us behind the scenes of filming 100 Awit Para Kay Stella.
100 Awit Para Kay Stella picks up where 100 Tula Para Kay Stella left off. This time, Fidel is no longer writing poems. He’s writing songs—every one of them still for Stella.
Stella, now an event organizer and recovering from a painful relationship, discovers that Fidel has been ghostwriting music for Clyde (Kyle Echarri)—a young singer who has feelings for her. The shock? Every song Clyde sings was written by Fidel, and every lyric points back to her—the girl with the black lipstick.
This part of the story tackles themes of obsession, fidelity, and the lingering emotional ownership we sometimes feel toward the people we’ve loved deeply. It asks: What happens when love doesn’t move on? When it turns into a lifetime of creating art in someone’s name, without their knowing?
Bela and JC emphasized the film’s open-ended structure and its real-life storytelling. Unlike conventional love stories, this one offers no guarantees—only honest choices and context.
Fidel’s stutter is still with him, and he has stopped trying to "fix" it. Stella, though successful now, carries scars from a toxic past. Both are changed, matured—but they’re also tired. And yet, when they meet again, the feelings come back fast and unfiltered.
The film doesn’t pretend to offer easy answers. It lets its characters fall, hesitate, retreat, and reconsider. It gives them room to be real.
This film is more than just a sequel—it’s a reunion with pain, healing, and possibility.
