With eight films starring him, three television shows, two music videos featuring his acting prowess, and two theater plays, along with four self-written tracks echoing through our playlists, a film co-produced under his name, and two more projects yet to be revealed, Elijah Canlas is definitely everywhere! From acting on screen, creating music, and sharing the stage as a theater actor, Elijah continues to prove himself as today’s multimedia force, delivering excellent performances through his multiple projects lined up this year across television, movies, theater, and music.
In the recent media conference titled “The Year of Elijah: Exhibit of a Multimedia Force,” the projects of the multifaceted artist were displayed in celebration of his artistry and dedication to his craft. The event was also a personal encounter, where Elijah himself opened up about his process, challenges, and even glimpses of his personal life.
He shared how he manages his time despite the overwhelming schedule, saying that he is always in sync with his management team when it comes to his many “ganaps.” On balancing love and career, Elijah revealed that he still makes time for his relationship with Miles Ocampo, even dreaming that one day they will have a project together.
During the presscon, Elijah also confirmed his newest television project under TV5—Hello, Heaven, starring alongside Enrique Gil and Julia Barretto. A feel-good romance series reminiscent of family dramas like May Bukas Pa, Niña Niño, Honesto, and Nathaniel, this upcoming show marks another exciting addition to his roster this year.
The actor also talked about his recent success in the film Sunshine, where one of his most memorable scenes was an adlib he delivered on the spot—saying the word “Amen,” which he felt was both relevant and funny to the moment. Elijah admitted, however, that shifting between characters on TV can be a struggle, since the pacing is faster and sometimes the roles bear similarities. Compared to film, where he has more time for character analysis, television requires sharper transitions and adaptability.
Meanwhile, the exhibit was divided into sections, highlighting the CNN 2020 Actor of the Year’s presence in different platforms—each displaying posters, cover arts, and behind-the-scenes photographs of his projects’ creation.

For television, the exhibit celebrated his portrayal as Sofronio Vasquez in the pilot episode of MMK on its comeback, as well as his dynamic energy as a vibe jock in VIBE. Hello, Heaven was also presented here, while his role remains under wraps.

The exhibit also featured Elijah’s music video work—Cup of Joe’s hit Multo and The Juans’ Ano Ba Talaga Tayo, both co-starring Miles Ocampo.

Rounding it out was “Through the Echoes,” which highlighted his journey as a rising hip-hop artist and songwriter under the name “elijah.” This included his debut single kilala kita, other tracks like asar talo and loved song (written for Miles), and the teased monochromatic cover art of his upcoming Joseph K.
