Children’s Show is a full-length film based on a real life story of
children ages 10-15 years old being used by a syndicate for an
underground wrestling match.
The
film is not only about the children involve in underground wrestling match, there’s
more into it. It is just the tip of the iceberg. The film surprises me as it
shows another story behind the life of a children involve in this illegal activities.
The film got a good screenplay and well written, hindi siya yung melo dramatic
na story about sa kahirapan. Nagpakita ng bago or ibang perspektibo ang
pelikulang ito sa buhay ng mga bata. The film got angst and braves enough to
show this kind of story. This is also not a serious film as you may think dahil
may kakaibang humor din na naincorporate sa pelikulang ito just watch out for
it. Ofcourse the acting ability of Miggs and Buboy plays a major part in this
film. Ang husay nila sa pelikulang ito and they really justified their
character. They could get acting awards in this film. I also like the treatment
that they done in cinematograpy and color grading to make us feel the
environment of the film. This film is one of a good catch in this year’s
Cinemalaya if you are looking for something dark and feisty
