Movie Review: David F

David F. weaves three stories that take a look at the situation of AfricanAmericans in the Philippines: from soldiers in the Philippine-American War(1899-1902) to the modern-day Amboys in the former Clark Airfield.

This is a trivia film for me. Ang dami kong natutunan sa pelikulang ito. Ito yung part ng history natin na hindi masyadong tinatalakay yung Philippine-American War(1899-1902). This movie will remind us of our history the colonizers na sumakop sa bansa natin. This movie should be recommended sa mga kabataan ngayun as part of their history class. Nagustuhan ko pa sa historical film na ito ay hindi masyadong melodramatic yung mga eksena at saka yung pagtawid ng film from 1899 to 1941 to present, malinis nila na nagawa yun from the story to editing at sa execution.

The actors are great here kahit saglit lang lumabas from Art Acuňa, Sid Lucero, Ms Eula Valdez to Ms Sharmaine Buencamino na kahit simpleng role napakahusay and to Ms. Anita Linda wala siyang dialogue but her presence is felt. For the current time Daxx Martin, Mitch Dulce and Will Devaughn acts well in the film. I also appreciate the look of the film yung feel and texture ng film yung color, maayos yung pagkakagawa

So I recommend you to watch this film dahil bago yung material, maganda yung story, reminds us of our history from our colonizers and well executed film.

My Verdict: 3.5/5
