VMX recently held a back-to-back media conference to introduce two of its upcoming original films, Ang Modista and Haplos ni Milagros. The event brought together the stars of both films, who shared their experiences working on the projects while gamely answering fun and candid questions from the entertainment media.
Leading the first film, Ang Modista, are veteran actor Mon Confiado alongside Micaella Raz and Kim Yashii. Despite his decades-long career, Mon shared that he continues to embrace challenging roles, regardless of the platform. For him, every project offers an opportunity to grow as an actor, which made taking on another VMX film an exciting experience.

For Micaella and Kim, working with Mon was one of the biggest highlights of the project. Both actresses expressed how honored they were to share the screen with one of the country's most respected actors, saying they learned valuable lessons from his professionalism, discipline, and approach to acting.
Directed by Ronald Batallones, Ang Modista follows the story of Elsie (Micaella Raz), a talented young seamstress whose life changes after she begins a secret affair with wealthy client Joel (Mon Confiado). Their forbidden relationship soon takes a dangerous turn when Joel's daughter, Gigi (Kim Yashii), uncovers the truth and forces Elsie into a deadly scheme in exchange for a fortune. The second half of the media conference introduced Haplos ni Milagros, starring Vern Kaye, John Mark Marcia, Anya Austria, Honey Abe, and newcomer Mauro Salas, who makes his VMX debut.
During the press conference, Vern openly admitted that while she is comfortable doing bold projects, she still has personal limitations when it comes to intimate scenes. She nevertheless gamely answered playful questions from the media, including whether she would accept an indecent proposal, which celebrity she would like to "haplos," and whether she believes in faith healers. John Mark Marcia and Mauro Salas also joined the fun, giving honest and entertaining answers that kept everyone laughing.

Directed by Christopher Novabos, Haplos ni Milagros centers on Erwin (John Mark Marcia), a devoted husband whose struggle with erectile dysfunction slowly destroys his marriage to Olive (Anya Austria). Hoping to save their relationship, Erwin seeks the help of Milagros (Vern Kaye), a mysterious faith healer believed to possess miraculous powers. What begins as a search for healing eventually develops into a forbidden romance between the two. Meanwhile, Olive, left emotionally neglected for years, finds comfort in another man, leading both husband and wife down separate paths that force them to confront the painful reality of their broken marriage.
