Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza Celebrate 25 Years of Love, Music and Partnership in “Sa Aking Puso”

Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza are celebrating another milestone—not just in their careers, but also in their journey as a couple—as they mark their 25th anniversary with the upcoming concert “Sa Aking Puso.”

During the Media Day, the couple talked about their long relationship, their careers, and what audiences can expect from this special concert.

For Dingdong and Jessa, reaching 25 years together is something they are truly happy and grateful for. They admitted that, like any couple, they have gone through many things throughout their relationship, but they were able to overcome them together.

When asked about the secret to their long-lasting marriage, their answer was simple: support and open communication.

They make it a point to listen to each other, communicate openly, and, most importantly, know when to give way. For them, a strong relationship is about understanding each other and being there for one another through the good and challenging times.

Bringing “Sa Aking Puso” Home to the Philippines

The couple has already staged the concert in the United States and other places, but they feel that doing “Sa Aking Puso” in the Philippines is still different.

For Dingdong and Jessa, performing in the country is closer to their hearts. It also gives them more freedom to do the things they want to do on stage without the restrictions they may encounter when performing abroad.

The concert will also feature special guests, including iconic singers Pops Fernandez and Randy Santiago.

Joining them as well is Dylan Menor, who plays the love team partner of their daughter Jayda Avanzado in the series Project Loki.

The Secret Behind Their Long Careers

Dingdong and Jessa are not only celebrating 25 years as a couple. They are also celebrating decades in the music industry, remaining relevant and well-loved by their audiences through the years.

So what is their secret to having such a long career?

For them, it is knowing when to make noise and when to step back and stay quiet. They also believe in reinventing themselves and trying things that they know they can do when it comes to singing.

Both Dingdong and Jessa have established themselves as hitmakers with songs that have become part of the Filipino music landscape.

Among Dingdong’s well-known hits are “Ikaw Lamang,” “Basta’t Kasama Kita,” “Maghihintay Sa’yo,” “Tatlong Beinte Singko,” “Makapiling Ka Sana,” “Paalam Na,” and “Wish I Could.” (Spotify)

Jessa, meanwhile, is known for songs such as “Bakit Pa,” “Ibigay Mo Na,” “Ikakasal Ka Na,” “Maghihintay Sa’yo,” and other memorable OPM hits. Her “Bakit Pa” became one of her signature songs and helped establish her as one of the most recognizable female voices of her generation. (Spotify)

Together, Dingdong and Jessa have also released memorable duets including “Laging Ikaw,” “Basta’t Kasama Kita,” “Iisa Pa Lamang,” “Born for You,” “After All,” “Panghabangbuhay,” and “Sa Aking Puso.” (Spotify)

More Than Just a Concert

For Dingdong and Jessa, putting together “Sa Aking Puso” is not simply about putting all of their songs into one show.

They admitted that they cannot possibly include every song they have recorded throughout their careers. What is more important for them is the story and concept of the concert and what they want to present to their audience.

More than the songs themselves, they want people to experience something while watching the show—and hopefully carry that experience with them even after the concert ends.

After 25 years of marriage, decades of music, countless performances, and so many memories together, “Sa Aking Puso” becomes more than just a concert. It is a celebration of their love story, their music, their career, and the journey they have shared with their audience through the years.
