Rebecca Chuaunsu Wins Best Actress for "Her Locket"

Rebecca Chuaunsu, the lead actress of " Her Locket" wins Best Actress at Wu Wei Taipei International Film Festival 2024, way ahead of it's Philippine premiere and Gala night for Sinag Manila Film Festival last September 4 at Gateway Cinema in Araneta Cubao. Ms Rebecca personally accepted the award at Westar Theatre in Ximending , Taipei Taiwan. We've meet the Filipino- Chinese- producer when we were invited in one of her produced stageplays years ago. She was then doing lots of tv drama and movies as an actress and as a interpreter whenever there's a Chinese character like the series of " Mano Po" from Regal Entertainment. 

Her movie "Her Locket " is also a finalist in some international film festival. Dinala na rin niya ito sa Cannes, at marami pang prestigious international filmfest. In fact come October ay sa San Diego Film Festival naman sa USA lalaban ang pelikula. Pinapalakpakan ang mahusay na pagganap ni Ms Rebecca bilang si Jewel Ouyang bilang old woman na may dementia. Maraming sasaguting tanong ang locket niya plus ang iba pang secrets in the past na mabubulgar dahil dito Aminadong nahirapan ang actress-producer sa kanyang role bilang old woman suffering from dementia "Nag- researched ako sa mga taong may ganung sakit, like some of my relatives, my old sister because how would I portray the role when I don't have dementia yet? I interviewed some also. 

Meron din daw syang acting coaches na provided ng director sa set. She's also happy and excited about her co- actors na ang gagaling daw "We have Elora Españo and theater actor Boo Gabunda. Boo played her son Kyle, a lawyer and Elora as Teresa , her caregiver. Kasama rin sa pelikula si Sophie Ng, who plays the young Jewel, and Benedict Cua, who plays young Magnus, Jewel’s brother, . Francis Mata, Jian Repolles, and Tommy Alejandrino. 

Written by J.E. Tiglao and Maze Miranda, the film is directed by Tiglao ,Sarah Pagcaliwagan Brakensiek and Ferdinand Lapuz as producers, and Dr. Rebecca Shangkuan Chuaunsu as the executive producer Beyond its latest win in Taipei, ‘Her Locket’ has also been showcased at several prestigious international film festivals, including Marche Du Film – Festival De Cannes (2023) in France, London East Asia International Film Festival (2023) in the UK, 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival (2024) in Bangladesh, and the Festival International du Film Transsaharien de Zagora in Morocco, where Chuaunsu also won Best Actress.
