The winning tandem of Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsay is back in a much bolder and more mature big screen offering, the most romantic official entry in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival, "All of You".
The Jen-Derek tandem first earned public notice in the blockbuster and award-winning 2014 MMFF entry "English Only Please"
It served as the mainstream directorial debut of Dan Villegas, who is regarded as an expert when it comes to the romantic-comedy genre. He was the director of the indie movie "Mayohan" which starred Lovi Poe.
That initial Jen-Derek team up proved highly successful in that it bagged for them major acting honors like the Best Actress and Best Actor trophies, respectively.
"EOP" also earned for Direk Dan a best director plum while the movie was named as the festival's second best picture.
Direk Dan and Antoinette Jadaone took home the Best Story award as well; Marya Ignacio was adjudged Best Editor and Jadaone and Anj Pessumal were recognized for Best Screenplay.
The winning trio of Jen, Derek and Direk Dan returns in the 2017 MMFF, this time with a more hilarious and more feel good film "All og You".
The movie is about two souls Gab (Derek) and Gabby (Jen) with conflicting views on love and marriage.
Gab and Gabby love each other so much enough to make a serious commitment.Theirs was a happy relationship until they mark their third year as couple.
Will they choose to continue their romance or will they opt to simply part ways?
Based on initial reactions in AOY's trailer, the moviegoers are overly exited about the screen pairing's reunion, especially in that scene where they supposedly meet in picture-perfect location in Taiwan.
Both of them give in easily in intimate love scene but was executed in comic way because Jennylyn has been able to speak a catchy word upon touching Derek's abs.
Of course more than the sizzling scene, the strong chemistry between Jen and Derek will prevail in the film. With no more akwardness as both of them support each other in their romantic scenes.
Based on the people who first saw AOY this is bigger and better than English Only Please as the film gives non-stop fun suitable this Christmas season. The theme song of the film also dazzles with the rendition of Darren Espanto's "Dying Inside (To Hold You)".
Completing the cast of the film are Solenn Heusaff, Rafael Rosell, Sam Milby, Yayo Aguila, Kean Cipriano, Nico Antonio, Via Antonio, Hannah Ledesma, Milo Elmido, Enzo Marcos, Kelvin Yu and Kate Alejandrino.
All Of You produced by Quantum Films, MJM Productions, Globe Studios and Planet Media Productions will give love and joy on Christmas Day, December 25 from the award winning trilogy of Jen, Derek and Villegas.
Watch as Jennylen Mercado, Derek Ramsey director Dan Villegas and the rest of the cast share their fond moments and take us behind the scenes in filming All Of You.
