Movie Review: Captain America: Civil War

Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America (Chris Evans) believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sharply disagrees and supports oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must pick a side.

With the abundance of characters in the movie, the pacing is very well done. Amazing in 3D at the IMAX and one of the most entertaining superhero film that I've seen in a while. I found the action to be the outstanding factor of this movie especially the one with the airport that is well done. Aside from the cuteness of Spiderman, he was no less than perfect, as well as Tony Stark nailing his character that was truly tailor made for Robert Downey Jr. Spidey and Ant Man brought the humor and the rest of the superheroes awed us in special effects. One of the things that made this film work so well is that all these characters feel like real people, they are never cartoonish and they feel like they are at their most human when they are behaving in superhuman ways. Captain America: Civil War is as good as a superhero movie can get.

My Verdict:  5/5
