The Cinemalaya Foundation has announced the finalists for the Short film category for the 2016 Cinemalaya Film Festival and Competition (Year 12).
From 158 entries nationwide, the 10 official finalists in
the Short Film Category are:

2. Fish Out of Water by Ramon Alberto Garilao (Mon A.L. Garilao)
3. Ang Maangas, Ang Marikit at Ang Makata by Jose Ibarra Guballa
4. Bugtaw by Noah del Rosario
5. Pektus by Isabel Maria Luz M. Quesada
6. Nakauwi Na by John Relano
7. Ang Hapon Ni Nanding by Rommel Tolentino
8. Mansyong Papel by Ogos Aznar
9. Get Certified by Isaias Herrera Zantua
10. Forever Natin by Mary Clarence Espiritu

The ten films will be screened during the 2016 Cinemalaya Film Festival
on August 5-14 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and Ayala
Cinemas in Greenbelt 3, TriNoma and UP Town Center.
The best short feature will receive a prize of Php150,000.00 and the Balanghai trophy during the Cinemalaya Awards Night on August 14, 2016 at the CCP Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater).
