Movie Review: Elemento

Elemento is a supernatural horror drama about a mother experiencing strange things after her son comes home from a school field trip to a forest. It all stems from the changed behavior of her son who has become menacing, frightening, and threatening all of a sudden.

Atmospherically shot average horror film that offers urban legend story that we like to hear. Some parts of the movie works to keep you engage all throughout the film. I feel bit scared on the premise and got interested on tambal, the main mythological element of the film. It´s a fine local horror film that offers a few thrills, decent scares, believable acting for the promising child actor Albert Silos and good acting for Cristine Reyes. There is actual effort put into this film to make it simple and effective with the cliffhanger ending that got me.

My Verdict: 3/5
