Movie Review: 10 Cloverfield Lane

Soon after leaving her fiancé Michelle is involved in a car accident. She awakens to find herself sharing an underground bunker with Howard and Emmett. Has she been saved from an apocalyptical event as Howard & Emmett tell her or are there other motives for her being held against her will?

The film does make the most of its claustrophobic setting, throughout the entire movie, I felt that I was in the room with the actors, experiencing what they are and feeling the same fear and suspense. John Goodman was flawless. He does an excellent job playing his character. Given its tight setting, 10 Cloverfield Lane
goes above the average thriller with aid from its strong cast, style, script and tension building up that never stops with the twists and turns. I love the mirroring of the 2 monsters in the film and how it was used and demonstrated all throughout the film. A good film that keeps you guessing until the end. If you want an interesting story that keeps you questioning the characters then this may be something to look into.  A must see and best Hollywood thriller film so far this year.

My Verdict:  4/5
