Walang KaParis revolves around Jojo (Empoy), a Paris-based Filipino visual artist who is quite the playboy. But despite this, he’s also desperate to fill a void in his life once occupied by a mysterious muse for his paintings.
For years, his heart was held captive by a woman with no name and no history. Like a compass, he looks for her in every girl he meets, hoping she will be ‘the one.
One day, a woman named Marie (Alessandra) appears before him and claims to be the subject of his paintings.
Walang Kaparis definitely touch your heart. Loving, Touching and Moving. Alempoy tandem (Alessandra De Rossi and Empoy Marquez is a perfect match for this film. There is overflowing chemistry between the two. The beautiful landscape of Paris and Baguio is well captured in the film and integrated into the love story of the film. The story and screenplay of the film is so compelling as you will be hooked in the entire film and keep interested as the story unfolds. The cinematography is beautiful and felt like watching a moving painting while watching. Alessandra in this film is so effective as you will root for her character towards the journey of the film. Empoy on the other hand surprises me with his dramatic portrayal that will somehow affect you. Overall Walang KaParis is the best romantic film that I have seen recently. It is only shown via streaming but it leaves a huge impact the same as when you watch in the cinema.
My Verdict: 5/5
