Director-Writer-Producer, Njel de Mesa is one of the most prolific directors in the Philippines today and he has partnered up with “The Muse of Philippine Cinema”, Arci Muñoz to usher in new stories that are both local and global at the same time. The NDM Grand Mediacon 2023 serves as the launching pad for all the films to be released by NDMstudios this year, all written and directed by Njel de Mesa—and Arci Muñoz’s first foray as a film producer and artistic director. The event is also the acknowledgement gesture of Arci Muñoz’s title as “The Muse of Philippine Cinema”—a moniker that was given to Arci by her friends in the film industry.

Njel de Mesa’s KABIT KILLER is a farcical dark comedy starring Arci Muñoz about a hired-woman-assassin targeting mistresses from around the globe goes back home and finds out her husband has a mistress. Shot in Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, this hilarious comedy is Arci’s first foray as a film producer and an artistic director.
ARCI’S MUNDO is a casual and happy travel and food lifestyle mini-series about the gastronomic adventures of Arci Muñoz all as she travels around the world.
Njel de Mesa’s MUST GIVE US PAUSE is an intense drama about a woman with intentions of ending her life due to depression but is given new found hope and value for life by a cheerful tour guide. The film was shot in Singapore and features the incredible acting of Cheska Ortega and Shaneley Santos.
Njel de Mesa’s ABERIA is a suspense-thriller about a group of friends stranded atop a hill far from civilization as their bus breaks down and are terrorized by cannibals. Featuring a new cast of young, talented, and promising actors: Gwyneth Dorado, Shaneley Santos, Preet Singh, CJ Ortega, Nicole Dela Cruz, Cyruz Frankie, JM Mendoza, and Renzo Gumatay.
Njel de Mesa’s SUBTEXT is based on the script that won 1st Prize Don Carlos Palanca Awards, which reminisces about the time when cellular phones had limited characters and capabilities. It is a romantic comedy which shows how textual miscommunication can make or break anyone’s love life. The film anthology stars Ciara Sotto, Hannah Arguelles, Ely Cellan, and Paolo Contis.
Njel de Mesa’s TRUE OR FALSE POSITIVE is a romantic comedy based on the awkward dating habits of two strangers who met only on the Internet during the pandemic. The film stars Mayton Eugenio (in her first leading role), Neil Coleta, and veteran actor, Arnold Reyes.

Njel de Mesa’s GHOST INFORMANTS is an action comedy starring Ynez Veneracion about a local drug enforcer’s uncanny ability to see ghosts while on the job.
The new releases will be either intended to be released on Netflix and other streaming platforms, or Solar Entertainment’s Solarflix or on their new streaming service. Some of the materials presented have contracts as GMA Network’s free-to-air or to be released for free on NDMstudios facebook and youtube channel.
