Movie Review: Black Panther

After the events of Captain America: Civil War, King T'Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader. However, T'Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakandan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.

An amazing and fresh take in the Marvel franchise. Black Panther is one of the only such films to truly distinguish itself as its own unique entity. The whole cast was superbly acted and the cinematography was beautiful with polished fight scenes. I like the way Marvel change direction in giving us  a not typical plot of a Marvel superhero film. One of the unique superhero film that I've seen in recent years. It's very, very good in its best scenes - exhilarating with details given to its amazing fight scenes especially towards the last part of the film. A wonderful sense of culture and costumed authority, creating a vibrant solo showcase for the world of Wakanda as its best.  Overall Black Panther is a different and interesting addition to the Marvel universe that works on it's own.

My Verdict: 4/5
