Sine Asia launch as the country’s prime source of of Asian movies dubbed in Tagalog is gearing up of for another exciting series of events, first of which is the Korean Film Festival that will run from June to August 2015 with initial offering Love Forecast.
Love Forecast is a rom-com that deals with the “that confusing stage” in a relationship where a man and a woman are not officially together, but they do the things normally done by real couples. Inevitably, one would fall for the other and will be placed in the deadful “friend zone”. Thus, turning confusion into frustration.
Such is the story of Jun-su (Lee Seung-gi) and Hyeon-woo (Moon Chae-won), who have been friends over 18 years. Jun-su is kind, good-looking, and has a stable job as an elementary school teacher. However he always gets dumped by the women he dates. On the other hand, Hyeon-Woo is an attractive weather reporter surrounded by male admirers. She is cute and sweet in front of others, but is rough, often drunk and cries over her life when she is with Jun-su. When they were younger, Jun-su confessed his feelings to Hyeon-woo but was left ignored. Nevertheless, his feelings for her remain.
Love Forescast is dubbed in Tagalog by today’s fast-rising artists from Viva; Donnalyn Bartolome as Hyeon-woo and Joshua Padilla as Jun-su. Vic Del Rosario, chairman of Viva Communication personally chose them to do the voices in the movie. Donalyn is a YouTube sensation who has recently released her second album called Kakaibabe and was also seen in the films: Diary ng Panget, Talk Back and You’re Dead and Your Place or Mine. Josh, son of Gino Padilla had done dubbing for cartoon movies before and hosts MTV Pinoy’s Rock on Pinas as well as MTV Halo-Halo.
Completing the festival’s line up are Ode To My Father, My Love, My Bride, How To Steal A Dog, The Thieves and Roaring Currents.
