Movie Review: Burgos

Burgos depicts a mother's search for her desaparecido. Ms. Lorna Tolentino plays Editha Burgos, mother of missing activist-farmer Jonas Burgos played by Rocco Nacino. The deeply religious Edith is a member of the House of Prayer, the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites. Playing other members of the Burgos family ace Tirso Cruz III (as husband Joe), Ina Feleo (as Jonas’ wife), and Allen Dizon, Bangs Garcia, Dimples Sta. Romana, Kerbie Zamora as the other Burgos children.

I’ve been able to watch the closing film on Cinemalaya 2013. Based on a true to life story of Mrs. Editha Burgos about the loss of his son, Joe Burgos. I was touched and get affectd in the film. Yna Feleo was also good here in delivering real emotion of a wife that lost a husband. This movie will shows us the hope, pain and sorrow of a family of desaparecido.

My Verdict: 4/5

Kerbie Zamora, Direk Joel Lamangan, Yna Feleo, Roco Nacino and Allen Dizon
