The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) continues to promote responsible viewing with its release of ratings for nine films set for exhibition this week.
From heart-pounding action to heart-warming family stories, these films are sure to captivate audiences of all ages.
The 2024 fantasy epic, “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim,” a prequel set 183 years before the events of Peter Jackson's “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, was rated PG (Parental Guidance).
“Bocchi The Rock! Recap Part 2” and “Daft Punk & Leiji Matsumoto: Interstella 5555” were also rated PG, together with Vietnam’s horror-comedy “Betting With Ghost,” a story about a female ghost looking for her lost child; the religious drama “Christmas with The Chosen Holy Night,” and South Korean concert films “Seventeen Right Here World Tour” and “NCT Dream Mystery Lab: Dream Scape.”
A PG rating requires parents or adults to accompany viewers under 13 years old.
American movies—“Kraven The Hunter,” a superhero action film featuring the Marvel Comics character of the same name, and “Dirty Angels,” an action thriller—were rated R-16, suited for 16 years old and above.
MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto-Antonio emphasized the importance of parental guidance for young viewers, even for films with designated age classifications.
