MTRCB ready to assist Geng Geng Network as they go mainstream

 

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) opens its doors to the influencers and content creators of Geng Geng Network as they prepare to go mainstream through the D8TV channel.

“As they navigate the world of television, the MTRCB is ready to guide them and ensure compliance with our standards,” the Board said.

While social media content remains outside the Board's jurisdiction, their contents aired on television will be subject to MTRCB’s review under Presidential Decree No. 1986.

“The MTRCB welcomes Geng Geng Network’s intention to collaborate to ensure adherence to Presidential Decree No. 1986. The Board fully recognizes the influence of both mainstream and digital media in shaping public perception and we appreciate Geng Geng Network’s proactive approach to aligning with our guidelines,” the Board said.

It added that the MTRCB is always ready to provide Responsableng Paggabay to all stakeholders within the creative industry, helping to balance creativity and freedom of expression, while ensuring that content is responsible, respectful, and culturally sensitive for Filipino viewers across all media platforms.
