Woody (Carlo Aquino), a restless wanderer, has spent seven years traveling the globe in search of a place—and a purpose—to call his own.
His journey leads him to Japan, where he crosses paths with Lynlyn (Julia Barretto), a woman gifted with an extraordinary ability: by simply touching someone, she can sense whether they bring joy or destruction into her life.

Hold Me Close will take you to a different kind of emotional journey and
love story through the unique love story of its characters, brilliantly
portrayed by Julia Barretto and Carlo Aquino. You will be affected by
the touching performance of the two against the stunning backdrop of
Karatsu in Saga, Japan. These two blend well for the emotional journey
of their character and they really prove that they are the best actor
and actress of their generation. Their roles require an in depth emotion
and they both deliver. Their chemistry, paired with the Karatsu's eye
candy landscapes, enhances the storytelling and serves as another
character in its own right. The theme song of the film, Kiss (Never Let
Me Go), beautifully complements the narrative of the film. If you are a
fan of manga and animated love stories, you will definitely love to
watch Hold Me Close.
My Verdict: 3/5
