At its core, Finding Santos is where romance meets comedy—and where cultural connection finds permanence through cinema. It tells a heartfelt story of friendship that transcends time and borders, reminding audiences to honor the people who helped shape our lives.
Woojin (Theo Jang), a young Korean man, travels to the Philippines to fulfill his dying grandmother’s final wish: to find the Filipino veteran who once saved her life during the Korean War. In his journey, he meets Gabby (Maegan Gabrielle Medina), one of his devoted fans. Together with their closest friends, they embark on an adventure that bridges the past and the present—discovering not only the history that binds them but also deeper truths about themselves.
Behind this touching narrative is a collaborative Filipino-Korean production team united by the shared goal of creating a film that reflects real-life friendship and cultural understanding. The production was helmed by Director Son Hyeonwoo and Executive Director/Producer Geong Seong Han, with co-production support from GV Entertainment Production.
From pre-production to post, both teams worked hand in hand—overcoming language barriers, intense heat, and unpredictable weather across filming locations in Manila, Pampanga, and Aurora. The cast built genuine camaraderie during early table readings, strengthening their on-screen chemistry that shines throughout the film.
Despite challenges, the production thrived on the Filipino crew’s warmth and hospitality and the Korean team’s professionalism and precision. Together, they fostered an environment of creativity, discipline, and mutual respect—bringing to life a story that celebrates unity in diversity.
Ultimately, the cinematic journey of Finding Santos mirrors the film’s spirit: two cultures beautifully connected by honor, friendship, and shared humanity.
Catch Finding Santos in Philippine cinemas starting November 19, and join in celebrating the power of love, gratitude, and companionship that transcends borders.
