iflix, Presents its first Original Movie, Mystified

Mystified reunites Iza Calzado, Karylle, Sunshine Dizon and Diana Zubiri with director Mark A. Reyes who previously collaborated with them in the highly-popular fantasy series Encantadia over a decade ago. For Mystified, the group formd Sanggre Productions Inc.,  to be more involved in the creative process.

Mystified tells the story of four sorceresses, who through their combined strengths, have successfully banished the evil witch Hellga and locked her way with the Portalis. Now, the four women have been sent to live in the real world to protect the magic portal - except they are not allowed to use any of their powers. Many years later, they must come together to protect mankind from a great evil that is coming their way.

Leading up the film's shoot, the four women had to undergo a series of fight and stunt training sessions to prepare for the big battle sequences. While Iza, Karylle, Diana and Sunshine may not be your typical action stars, they sure prove they've got the mettle to kick some major butt onscreen. Of course, they had to draw on their experience working on Encantadia for their magical and mystical moves. When the first day of the film's production finally came along, the stars were emotional when they found themselves together on the same set again after so many years.

Making Mystified a topnotch action-fantasy film - complete with mindblowing CGI and visual effects - takes a village. so to speak of some of the most creative minds in Philippine film. Building on the concept created by director Mark  Reyes, along with the iflix team. Production designer Dax Dacanay, Costume Designer Bill Gustilo and Director of Photography AB Garcie, came together to create the magical world. Scouting locations from across the country, they built amazing sets and props to match the mystical characters of the movie.

The film also stars Sunshine Cruz, Mustafa Elezali, Matthias Roads, Jinri Park, JuneVee, among others. Mystified is slated to drop exclusively on iflixFREE and iflixVIP on March 29 9 PM.
