'Heneral Luna, 'Bonifacio' Celebrates National Heroes Day at History Con

TBA (Tuko Film Productions, Buchi Boy Entertainment, and Artikulo Uno Productions) is one the featured presenters and exhibitors in the upcoming History Con to be held on Thursday, August 25 to Sunday, August 28 at World Trade Center Manila. Organized by A&E Television Networks’ HISTORY Channel, this event is the first-ever entertainment convention of its kind.

TBA is the only Filipino film production company to be featured in this historic convention. The films “Heneral Luna” and “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo” will have a booth at the hall’s ‘historic section’.

The TBA booth will contain several props and replica of historical memorabilia used in the films. This includes costumes, documents, letters, and war armaments. Students and guests can also learn more about the heroes through the film screening of “Bonifacio” on Friday, August 26, 3:00PM at the Luna & Hidalgo function room. Meanwhile, “Heneral Luna” will be screened at the same venue on Saturday, August 27, 8:00PM.

Also on Saturday, August 27, 4:00PM, the cast of “Heneral Luna” led by John Arcilla, Mon Confiado, Epy Quizon, Junjun Quintana, and Bing Pimentel will have a stage presentation at the convention’s Main Stage. Joining them is historian Xiao Chua to give a better background on the cultural and political landscape during the time of Gen. Antonio Luna. This pre-National Heroes Day treat will give fans of the film and history buffs the opportunity to ask questions about the film and interact with the panel. A meet-and-greet and DVD signing will be held soon after at the TBA booth.

The “Heneral Luna” Deluxe DVD edition will be sold at the TBA booth along with other exclusive merchandise for the duration of History Con.
