Movie Review: Shake Rattle and Roll 14: The Invasion

The Pamana episode is about the movie character that was made by Uncle of the 3 lead stars na nagkaroon ng buhay at sinimulang manakot sa mga pamilya nila. The Lost Command Episode is about sa grupo ng mga sundalo na naligaw sa gubat na napadpad sa kuta ng mga sundalong zombies. And the Unwanted episode is an apocalyptic story in which the alien already invaded our country, peg ng episode na ito ang Hollywood film na The Darkest Hour and Skyline.

All in all I can say na napakahusay ng special effects na ginamit sa pelikula especially for the last episode that requires to create another world. Makikita mo sa pelikulang ito ang tatak ni Chito Riňo na talagang mabusisi at pulido sa paggawa ng pelikula. Napakalinis at wala ako masabi especially the 2 episodes Pamana and Lost Command

So let’s start on the episode that I least like which is the Unwanted. Actually maganda sana yung topic na pwede nilang itackle sa movie but I don’t like how it was executed. Honestly speaking all throughout the episode parang wala siyang story na tungkol sa magkaelasyon na may konting problema na pumasok sa isang mall tapos biglang gumuho yung mall because of the invasion then the struggles for the creature na dumating kung paano sila makatakas then nagkita ule sila then tapos na. Sobrang nakulangan ako sa story and I do not like the screenplay. But this episode got the superb special effects and fully utilize ang effects sa movie especially the last scene parang Hollywood yung dating so yun lang ang maganda sa episode na ito. Then para wala lang din ang role ni Albie.

2^nd episode na medyo nagustuhan ko is yung Pamana, unexpectedly nagustuhan ko ito I've thought ito yung pinakaweakest sa 3 episode but maganda yung treatment sa film and may story. Maayos na nailahad sa episode na ito ang character ng 3 bida na sina Janice Arlene at Herbert. Naiconnect ang mga issues nila sa life sa current situation nila na pagtakas sa mga nabuhay na movie character ng uncle nila. No wonder it got a good story and screenplay because it is done by Mr. Ricky Lee.  Nagustuhan ko din yung opening credit ng episode I like the style of it. Very commendable din ang acting ni Janice dito dahil sa strong character niya sa pelikula na nagampanan niya ng maayos and I think may laban siya rito as Best Actress.

And the episode that I like the most is the Lost Command. Dito talagang naipakita ni Direk Chito ang husay niya bilang isang director. This movie got good story and screenplay as well.  Madaming lead male characters rito at nabigyan sila lahat ng shining moment. Commendable as well ang DOP ng pelikula. It got a unique story fast paced screenplay at maayos na nagawa. Acting wise no question Dennis Trillo delivered , Paulo Avelino did good as well same with Martin Escudero that also justify his role. And the awkward acting award goes to JC Tiuseco…needs more workshop.

So infairness to the movie it delievered but not with the expectation that I have for the movie. Hindi niya napantayan ang quality ng horror ng The Healing. Nevertheless this movie is preferably watchable than The Strangers.
