Movie Review: Sol Searching

Teacher Sol is dead and cannot be buried because there are no funds. How will the community come forward to put her to rest, this strict and no-nonsense teacher of grade school students and farmers who need to be taught scientific farming methods?

Sol Searching is an ensemble dark comedy with unconventional character study that reflects people living in small town society. Pokwang delivers a sensitive portrayal of a teacher and a loving friend with a punch of humor at the side. Her tandem with the bibo kid JM Salvado keeps the film engaging as the story unfolds on worthwhile life of Sol.  I'm happy for the character actress Gilleth Sandico who were  finally given a title role who truly embodies and give life to the journey of the film. Sol Searching even told in non linear serve its purpose to deliver an entertaining and inspiring film
that we can reflect to.

My Verdict: 4/5
