Liza is still drowning in grief from losing the love of her life when she receives a visit from the most unlikely person -her husband, who she left five years ago. With no questions asked and no conditions made, Anton invites her back to his and their two children’s lives.
Distance is quietly powerful with outstanding ensemble performance from Iza Calzado Therese Malvar & Noni Buencamino. This is Perci Intalan’s best film to date. The silence of the film speaks for itself. Kudos to its screenplay for its subdued treatment but effective in telling of a story. Iza Calzado and Therese Malvar performance is a strong contender for best actress and best supporting actress.
