Five years after the first film, the highly anticipated sequel, “Hello, Love, Again,” has been rated PG (Parental Guidance) by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) review committee of Katrina Angela Ebarle, Eloisa Matias and Maria Carmen Musngi.
The 2019 Filipino movie was also rated PG.
Starring Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo, and directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the plot continues in Canada, where Joy (Kathryn) and Ethan (Alden) reunite and realize how much they have changed since their last goodbye.
The American post-apocalyptic thriller “Elevation,” where a father goes to great lengths to save his son, was also rated PG.
A PG rating suggests that, while the film is generally suitable for children, some content may require parental guidance.
Japan’s “Sana: Let Me Hear” from Warner Bros. earned an R-16 rating for its intense horror and graphic scenes not suitable for viewers under 16 years old.
MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto-Antonio encourages audiences to enjoy a blend of local and international films showing in cinemas this week.
“We call on parents to guide their children responsibly,” said Sotto-Antonio. “Let us shape their viewing habits by providing them with proper guidance and support, helping them to choose age-appropriate and value-rich content that reflects their ideals and fosters positive growth.”
