Movie Review: Gone Girl

Nick Dunne, a small town guy who made good in the big city as a magazine writer blames the recession and the loss of his job for the decline of his marriage to his intellectually superior wife with a substantial trust fund. Questions of his motives and character begin to arise after his wife's disappearance on the morning of their fifth anniversary. As the search for his missing wife plays out over the ensuing days, guilty suspicions are fueled into a national frenzy by the media circus camped outside his house. Is this idyllic, everyman truly capable of murdering his wife?

No wonder this film got an Oscar buzz as early as now. Story, screenplay, editing and direction is superb. David Fincher is really a good director. Iba iyong atake niya para mas lalong maramdaman ng audience yung feel ng movie to the point na nagiging psychological na. The good foundation of the film is the material itself the fiction story novel and it was effectively shown in this film. Lagi mong aabangan iyong mga eksena kasi laging may mystery at binibigyan ng maraming katanungan ang audience tungkol sa movie. In a way this film has an intention to give to the audience their own interpretation for the film. In my case I think karma na lang ni Nick ang mga nangyari sa kanya sa ginawa niya kay Amy though mali si Amy pero we cannot blame her nasaktan siya at iyong ang nag trigger to do these weird things to save their marriage. So medyo mas naapektuhan ako sa character ni Amy, I felt her in the scene when she caught her husband cheating, though still I have sympathy for Nick. So overall of the film I can say that this is one of the best and one of a kind quality suspense drama Hollywood film to watch this year and I can say one of the best and strong contender for Oscar next year.

My Verdict:  5/5
