The film tells us a story of
summer romance that wasn’t blossom but eventually the two lovers meet again and
rekindle their romance. It cannot be denied that there is chemistry between Sarah
and Coco in this film and both of them are good actors. That’s why it’s easily
for them to capture their character in the film.
You can see different Coco
Martin here that you usually seen as a serious actor in a TV series but this
time he will show you his funny side. Bumagay kay Coco ang kanyang character
bilang isang probinsyanong jologs. As for Sarah Geronimo’s character as Teptep/
Stephanie it is at far different from her previous films as she toned down here
her comics antic that we usually see on her romcom films . Mas makakatotohanan
ang kanyang pinoportray na character here at mas malapit sa tunay na buhay ang
problemang kanyang hinaharap rito.
Story wise of the film yeah its
common. Predictability of the story is evidently seen in the film. For the
screenplay it lacks coherence and smoothness all throughout the film.
Entertainment value, check na check because of the character of Ogie Diaz and
Ruffa Gutierez. I found Ruffa entertaining here in some of the scenes at
bumagay sa kanya yung role. As it is lang yung sosyal na maarte na babae.
Nakakaaliw yung character ni Ogie rito laking tulong niya sa pelikula. Good
thing that Sharmaine Buencamino portray as mother of Sarah here na somehow
nakapag paaliwalas sa akin while watching the film. Kilig factor of the film of
course check na check dahil sa mga pacute moves ni Coco na patok na patok sa
masa. Ok yung DOP sa mga provincial scenes as they well capture the beauty and
nature of the place. They let us feel it through their shot that I think they utilize
well dolly because puro wide shot siya at ang tataas pa ng angle ng camera.
Gusto gusto ko yung mga eksena
nina Ruffa and Sarah na lumalabas talaga yung character nila si Ruffa bilang
malditang boss at si Sarah na underdog employee. Their confrontation scene is something
to look forward in the film because of Sarah’s strong words that I am surprised
that she delivered. Over all I have a mix reaction for the film and it does not
meet my high expectation from the trailer. Though for sure benta pa rin sa masa
itong pelikula. I think they can gross 180-200 million. Kung gusto niyong
kiligin at iexperience ang valentine ngayung summer this film is good catch to
watch.
