The nightmare is coming to life.
Ahead of the highly anticipated Philippine release of Backrooms, CreaZion Studios is giving horror fans the chance to step directly into the terror with “Backrooms Breakout,” an immersive horror escape room running for a limited time from May 23 to June 7 at Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City.
Inspired by the viral horror phenomenon that haunted millions online, the experience transports guests into the eerie maze of endless yellow hallways and unsettling liminal spaces that turned the Backrooms into a worldwide obsession. Participants will navigate distorted corridors, mysterious rooms, and an atmosphere carefully designed to make every moment feel unsettling.
Created as a chilling lead-up to the film’s Philippine premiere, the attraction allows fans to physically enter the world of Backrooms before the movie arrives exclusively in cinemas on June 3, 2026.
“Backrooms is more than just a movie release for us — it’s an experience meant to immerse audiences into the world of the film even before they step inside the cinema,” said Anter RJ San Agustin, CEO of CreaZion Studios. “We wanted Filipino horror fans to experience the fear, mystery, and disorientation that made Backrooms a global sensation. This is unlike anything audiences have seen before.”
HOW TO ACCESS THE EXPERIENCE
Guests can enter the “Backrooms Breakout” by presenting a pre-purchased Backrooms movie ticket from Shangri-La Red Carpet Cinemas. Tickets are available online or through the cinema box office.
Each movie ticket grants one player admission to the attraction. Guests who wish to experience the attraction again must purchase another Backrooms movie ticket.
For online reservations, guests may secure slots in advance through the official booking website. Reservations are only valid for 24 hours and will only be confirmed after submitting proof of movie ticket purchase or online reservation through Customer Service.
The Backrooms movie ticket serves as the official entry pass for reserving a slot and accessing the attraction.
