VMX continues to push boundaries with its latest original offering, Palitan 2, a gripping drama that dives deep into the complexities of first love, forbidden desires, and the price of staying true to oneself.
Directed by Rodante Y. Pajemna Jr., the film stars Angela Morena, Margaret Diaz, Victor Relosa, and Juan Paulo Calma in a story set against the backdrop of a traditional provincial town, where love and societal expectations collide.
The story follows Rose (Angela Morena) and King (Victor Relosa), childhood sweethearts preparing to build a stable future together amid the town’s festive wedding preparations. Their seemingly peaceful life is shaken by the return of Angel (Margaret Diaz), Rose’s former lover, who comes back from Manila with her boyfriend Ron (Juan Paulo Calma). What starts as an uneasy reunion soon sparks unresolved emotions, threatening the life Rose has carefully built.
During the mediacon, the four lead stars — Angela, Margaret, Juan Paulo, and Victor — were game to answer questions and tease what viewers can expect from the much-awaited sequel. According to the cast, audiences should watch out for unexpected twists, including partner swaps and intriguing relationship dynamics that could explore girl-to-girl and even boy-to-boy connections.
