Movie Review: Fallback

Michelle (Rhian Ramos) gets a rather unexpected love advice: Prevent yourself from getting hurt in love by having a fallback.

Michelle is in a relationship with Chris (Daniel Matsunaga), and they are doing okay. However, she crosses paths with her ex-boyfriend (Zanjoe Marudo) again.

Having spent some time with him again, she decides that she's found the perfect "fallback".

Fallback is a glossy upbeat romantic film anchored with the refreshing team up of Zanjoe Marudo and Rhian Ramos that register well together on screen. This was better than I anticipated. Bizarre at times and offbeat, but enjoyable, thanks to a great performance from Zanjoe and Rhian. I totally enjoyed the smooth flow of the film with no dull moments. It's so refreshing to see all of cast on the big screen the blended well onf the film espescially Daniel Matsunaga in a cute villain third wheel role and Marlo Mortel in a comical role whose both justify their role.I also like the kilig theme song of the film 'A Little Bit" sung by the talented performer Iñigo Pascual. Zanjoe and Rhian which for me considered as one of the good actors of their generation, on their first team up are successful in giving the right chemistry in this film and portraying a modern love story.

My Verdict: 3.5/5
