Movie Review: Talk Back and You're Dead

Samantha, a beautiful girl, talented and lives in a wealthy family is about to change her life after the incident happen in mall when she see her friend betrayed by his boyfriend. As her friend, he defend it to a guy, but she never knew that the guy he fought was a victim of her friends bet. As she knew this guy, he is a Certified War freak, also known as Gangster. She knew the guy named Top (Timothy) a handsome guy who always gets what he wants. As they conquer they self to find out what they have relationship was, they been developed. But a tragic happens, Samantha is engaged in best friend of Top, Red.

The follow-up movie of the phenomenal love team Nadine Lustre and James Reid. After their successful team up in Diary ng Panget they were given again a movie adaptation of the wattpad novel Talk Back and You’re Dead. I can say that this love team has a strong following same with the book that has strong supporters as well so the result would be a box office hit film. Well  the story of the film is a combination of K-pop and Manga. It’s very intense and romantic. For the production value of the film it is an average for me. If you would compare the acting of James and Nadine in their previous film ay mas may depth yung character nila rito at mas may lalim at najustify naman ng dalawa iyon. So naglevel up naman sila in terms of their acting. Pinakita ng dalawa na marunong din silang mag drama. For the kilig department as usual they establish already their chemistry so na incorporate nila ito sa film.

I think the film will reach its 100M mark again based on the reception of the audience in cinemas and the JaDine will be the next love team to beat in this generation. So if you’re fan of the book Talk Back and You’re Dead, Kpop and Manga don’t miss this local drama romantic film.

My Verdict:  3/5
