A grandfather on the brink of bankruptcy brings his grandchildren back
to the community that made and shaped him, only to find out the place is
no longer the same.
Based on the reception of the
audience at the gala of this film the screenplay is an audience pleaser and spoon-fed.
Very mainstream ang approach ng pelikula. This is something new for Direk
Carlitos that we all know for doing serious themes in his previous films.
Napakalight lang ng pelikula at may potential na makacrossover sa mainstream. Maayos
naman yung pagkakagawa ng film. Para nga akong nanonood ng mainstream film
minus the product endorsement. Ok din yung musical element ng film lalo na yung
theme song na Sige ng Sige na may recall. All of the artists are good
especially the veterans ofcourse Robert Arevalo, Rez Cortez, Liza Lorena, Audie
Gemora, Eric Quizon and Ali Sotto. It’s refreshing to see them in a light film.
Ang lakas ng presence n Chris Villonco sa film then Rafa Sigion Reyna is
charming. Ang galing naman umarte ni Ciara Sotto. Simple lang yung story ng
film and this is the enjoyable film to watch to on Director’s Showcase.
