Movie Review: Ronda

A policewoman roams the city of Manila to fulfill her duties as a police patrol and to look for her lost son.

The film tries to tell us the life in a day or perhaps in a night of a policewoman anchored with the story of a loving mother longing to see his son. The film gives us different kind of story telling that only happened in 24 hours. Though this was done a lot of times already in an indie film, I still appreciate the effort of the film to make it different from the other and the fact that they got a lot of cameo of good actors in the film making it as a bonus for me. Nagpakita ng mga makatotohanang pangyayari sa Kamaynilaan tuwing gabi ang pelikulang ito lalo na sa aspeto ng kapulisan, street crimes, power tripping, exploitation of media at personal na buhay ng kapulisan. Maganda yung intention and plot of the film but it lacks in execution para maging buo yung pelikula. I would like to commend Aiai for doing this film, this is something different and new for her. She’s been able to deliver lalo na sa pagportray niya ng pagiging ina. I felt her in that character.

My Verdict:  3/5

Aiai Delas Alas @ Gala of Ronda

Julian Trono @ Gala of Ronda
